Developing Great Managers
The purpose of this course is to equip you with the emotional and social tools needed to become a great manager or frontline supervisor. At the foundation of this course is the Everything DiSC® Management assessment. It provides a common framework for understanding and improving self-awareness and awareness of others in order to help you make the transition from colleague to supervisor. We’ll break down the different areas of management responsibilities and help you develop action plans for handling the various challenges you’ll encounter.
Course Objectives
Understand your personality preferences using the DiSC® model and translate them into management priorities and preferences.
Learn to identify others' preferred styles and how these preferences impact communication patterns.
Acquire techniques for effectively directing and delegating tasks to those you manage, setting clear expectations and performance objectives.
Discover how your behavior influences others' motivation and ways to create a more motivating work environment.
Recognize your natural approach to developing others, understand varying preferences, and adapt your style accordingly.
Distinguish the differences in communication when interacting with managers versus direct reports.
